Riyad Ghali

Riyad Ghali (1919 – 12 July 1982) was the husband of Princess Fathia the youngest daughter of King Fuad I and Queen Nazli Sabri.

Marriage, Divorce and Death

While in the United States, Riyad Ghali married Princess Fathia in May 1950 against the well of King Farouk I of Egypt. The marriage produced three children:

Following family and financial problems due to bad investment, the marriage ended on 1973. In 10 December 1976, Riyad Ghali shot and killed his ex-wife and he unsuccessfully tried to commit suicide. He died in prison in 12 July 1982.
